Home Data Platform · Last updated 25 August 2026

Home Data Platform is a private, personal project run by one household to organise that household's own financial records. It is not a commercial product, has no customers, and is not offered to the public.

Who this applies to

The only people whose data this application accesses are the members of the household who have personally signed in and granted access to their own accounts. No other person's data is accessed, and access is never sought from anyone outside the household.

What data is accessed

With the account owner's explicit consent, the application reads email in the owner's Gmail mailbox that Google classifies as purchases and receipts, using read-only access (gmail.readonly). It reads message contents only to extract purchase and receipt details. It never sends, deletes, or modifies email, and it does not read messages outside the purchases category.

How the data is used and stored

Receipt and purchase information is used solely to help the household understand its own spending. All data is stored privately on hardware the household owns and operates. It is not sold, shared, transferred, or disclosed to any third party, and it is not used for advertising, profiling, or any purpose other than the household's own record-keeping.

Google user data

This application's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google account data is used only to provide the household-facing features described above and is never transferred to others except as required to operate those features on the household's own systems.

Retention and removal

Data is retained only as long as it is useful to the household and can be deleted at any time by the household. A person may revoke this application's access to their Google account at any time from their Google Account permissions page, after which no further data is accessed.
